This is a Marlin Model 1893 SRC Saddle Ring Carbine barrel chambered in 30-30.  Barrel is 20" with a fair to good bore with reasonably strong rifling and moderate pitting.  Exterior has been reblue

This jacket has a very good exterior gold wire Captain rank pips on the shoulders as well as gold wire collar badges with the motto Canada which indicates they are before 1920.
