WW1 German Saw Back Bayonet

• Description:

  WW1 German S98/05 is one of the Saw-Back bayonets.  These were normally issued to pioneer or machine gun units.  This piece shows an overall sound  14 1/2" blade with fine pitting.  The blade shows a 1916 date.  The markings on the blade and crossguard are present.  The wood grips are sound but missing the forward nut.  The scabbard is the all steel variation with the ball tip finial with original frog.
