- Description:
An excellent plus example of a WW2 manufactured tripod for the Browning M 1917 A1 machine gun. This mount was built by the Lamson Company 1941. It is one of 6,020 mounts built by the Lamson Corporation of Syracuse, New York in the serial range 130350 to 136349 in 1941. The serial number of this mount is 132819. Any M 1917 A1 mount is considered to be a relatively scarce item. This example shows the Lamson brass plate with serial number and the 1941 date. Despite the numbers produced these tripoda are rather scarce and hard to find on the current market. A very sound example.
