  Antique flintlock musket converted to percussion.  The lock is marked Wooley Sargant & Fairfax.  This firm operated from 1829-1830 at 74 Edmund St. Birmingham.  This flint musket was converted to percussion by the firm as marked on the lock plate.  This piece shows a 39" commercial barrel.  This piece was probably first built as a sea service type musket (non military) but as a commercial or export item.  The lock functions but requires a proper tumbler.  Sound metal and wood.  Antique status
