  SN 899471 is a 1921 manufacture 94 Winchester, 38-55 caliber rifle.  This piece shows a 26" round barrel with 85% original blue on the barrel and tube.  The bore rates as bright excellent.  The receiver is bright showing the correct milling striations on both sides.  All screws are correct and original, with no evidence of removal.  All markings are clear and crisp. The wood is all original with strong trace of original finish.  The butt stock shows crackling on the finish, associated with storage in higher heat area such as an attic.  This 94 is a better than average example in the choice 38-55 caliber.  A piece for the 94 Winchester collector or the 38-55 caliber shooter.
