  SN 31646 is one of the 47,254 Model 71 rifles built from 1935 to 1958.  This example is one of the scarcer deluxe rifles with factory checkered stock, sling swivels, capped pistol grip and and original factory leather sling.  This example shows a bright excellent bore, 97% bright original blue.  There is only the slight hint of carry and edge wear on the bottom of the receiver.  The wood show excellent original checkering and the majority of it's original finish.  There is finish loss on the pistol grip and the base of the forestock.  The left side of the butt shows minor scractches associated with normal usage.  A solid example for the Winchester or 1886 collection .  A fine example of a less common Winchester on the Canadian market.
