• Description:

  SN 39674 is an 1890 production of an 1886 Winchester.  This example shows an overall grey finish with clear barrel and tang markings.  This example shows a 26" octagon barrel with a bright shootable bore that shows some light corrosion and rates very good.  The sights are original to the rifle.  The wood is sound and original but shows a fixable gouge along the right side of the tang.  It also shows a 2  1/2" crack leading from the tang.  The crack appears to be sound and was associated with above described gouge.  A sound example of an 1886 that can be improved with a little TLC.
