• Description:

  Winchester Model 94 is the best caliber- 38-55.  This late 1894/94 was built in 1923.  As per Madis "The Winchester Handbook page 147" the number of 38-55 rifles built were 12, 197.  This better than average 94 shows 90% plus blue on the barrel and magazine, faded bright on the receiver.  The wood rates at very good showing obvious usage marks and remnants of the original finish.  This piece was refitted with upgraded sights at some time in the past-  A #2 Marble front, Lyman tang with aperture rear and a flip down rear barrel.  The top of the barrel shows the original sight elevator mark.  The bore on this 38-55 rates at bright excellent.  A collector grade 94 rifle.
