  Winchester Model 1895 in 40-72 caliber, built in 1905,this model 1895 shows a bright very good bore, some light corrossion and very strong rifling in the 28" barrel.  The sights are correct and original.  The barrel shows a mix of blue and blue turning petina.  The frame  shows sharp clear markings and about 40% original blue.  The wood rates at very good to excellent with trace of original finish, no sanding, breaks or cracks.  A very good example of an 1895 rifle that remains in better than average condition.  A piece that came out of the back woods of New Brunswick.  A piece for the Winchester or 1895 collector.
