SN 699144 is a 1894 carbine built 1914 as per "The Polishing Room"records. This example shows a 20" barrel with bright excellent bore. The carbine shows the correct long forearm and butt stock. The stock shows a small compass mounted by a prior owner. Additionally, the carbine shows a Lyman tang sight correctly mounted with no additional holes on the tang. Only a few carbines are found with a Lyman tang sight. This example shows original blue on the barrel, magazine and lever. The frame shows an overall brown patina related to carry. Overall the finish rates at 70%. Note: the wood was cleaned by a former owner some time in the past.
