    Sn 991263 is a Model 92 Winchester in 44-40 caliber.  This example was built in 1928 but remains in above average condition.  The bore is best described in as new condition .  The barrel mag tube show most of the original blue.  The receiver shows a mix of original blue with touch up over the areas of blue loss associated with carry and normal usage.  The original wood remains in excellent above average condition.  The bottom tang shows the normal loss of finish associated with carry and usage despite the added finish to the receiver.  This carbine remains in above average condition compared to most 92 Carbines especially in the 44-40 caliber.
