Watson Brothers 12 Gauge Ejector Gun With Original Case

• Description:

  Watson Brothers, London is considered to be one of the better mid range shotguns.  This piece has a 30" barrel, rib marked Watson Bros, 29 Old Bond St. London.  Bright excellent bores, F&1C choked with 90% original blue.  The box lock, ejector action shows the appropriate engraving on the action and triggerguard.  The water table shows case color, the action shows a mix of trace and bright blue.  The bottom tang shows uage wear.  The butt rates as very good plus with sound original checkering, no cracks or breaks with 14 7/8 LOP .  The forwood shows 1 small spliter loss on the right front edge 1 1/4" , sound checkering and case color on the interior metal.  The gun comes in its' original Watson Bros case with the original label with rod,cleaning mops and its' Watson oil tin.  All bear the Bond St. address .  The case is sound with the original liner and leather tie down strap.  The exterior straps are missing as is the left front and the right rear strap retainers.  Also at sometime a budding artist decided to folk art paint a hammer shotgun on the case top.  Aside from the above this is the original case to the gun.  Overall this is a very sound example of a classic ejector English 12 bore.  A piece that was used and not refurbished.
