SN 739 is a Volcanic pistol built by the Volcanic Repeating Arms Co., New Haven Patern Feb 14 1854. The 6" barrel shows a bright excellent plus 41 caliber bore. The finish on the barrel is all original blue which shows some obvious age fading but still rates at 90 plus %. The bolt and mag lifters show bright original niter blue. The brass frame shows no indication that the same was polished at any time. The color is even over the entire frame. The flat above the breech and the top of the right frame panel show small denting marks. Otherwise, the frame shows an excellent original age color. Both grip panels show original varnish. The left panel show some minor edge wear marks. The right grip panel shows an old crack which was glued at some point in time. Both panels are all original and factory serial numbered 739. Overall, this volcanic pistol remains in above average condition . The blue is all original and the brass has not been polished. This is a very rare item to be offered for sale in Canada. Antique status.
