• Description:

  Antique US. musket built by N. Starr of Middleton CT. in 1836.  This maker produced 15,530 muskets of this type 3 configuration from 1820 to 1840.  The lock shows clear ,crisp original markings.  The 42" barrel shows rifling in place but is counter bored 3-4" from the muzzle.  The stock shows wood replacement 14" from the muzzle to the middle band.  All of the component parts appear to be original.  Despite the above, this musket represent a good example for the antique collection.  This piece is being offered at a reduced price due to the above repairs.  No PAL required to purchase or own.
