• Description:

  Antique US 1817 artillery musket.  This piece shows the correct in the white barrel.  Ref: Flayderman, 9A-230.  This example appears to have been built at Springfield with the iron pan lock.  This example shows the III marks on the lock and stock.  The wood is sound with a small chip at the tail of the lock.  These artillery muskets are relatively scarce with only 1039 built at Springfield and relatively few at Harpers Ferry.  There is no true defined pattern for these artillery muskets. This musket shows an older and very well executed reconversion. A scarce musket on the Canadian market.
