    U.S. Springfield Model 1873 rifle.  This example shows a bright 45-70 bore in it's 32 5/8" barrel.  Sound original Springfield lock dated 1868.  There were approximately 73,000 of the Trapdoor converted at Springfield armory.  This piece shows the cartouche and a #37 on the left side of the stock between the lock screws.  The piece shows an overall sound finish metal and wood and clear sharp markings. Bright,very good shootable bore.The example shows a broken extractor, that does not kick the empty case out.  Extractors original and new appear to be available on the US market and can be shipped as an antique part(US reg).  No PAL required to purchase or own.
