  This item is a flint lock built  from a parts kit sold by the Rifle Shoppe of Wellston, OK, USA.  The 1814 common rifle kit is currently sold for $1295.00.  The unassembled kit in Canada costs close to $2000 Canadian with shipping, exchange duty and tax.  This example was expertly assembled by someone with talent for the former owner.  This example shows excellent metal, a sound working lock, excellent wood with a few usage marks. The rifle's 54 caliber bore rates as excellent.  A great reproduction of a scarce US 1814 as originally buit by Derringer.  An item for the US Military collector or a blackpowder shooter.  Antique status in Canada.
