  French Berthier-Mannlicher model 1907-15 built at Chatellerault in 8 C 50.5R label. This piece was later converted to a 21 1/2" barreled carbine with handguard. The breech shows the markings T.C. over Orman 1948 approx. 10,000 French rifles were converted for use by the Turkish Republic Forest. (Ranger Service) in 1948. A scarcer military carbine for the Turkish , French or military collector. overall very good condition . The bore shows corrosion but sound rifling.
