Swiss Sniper Rifle K31/42
- Licensing Category: Non-restricted
- Maker: Swiss
- Model: 1931
- Caliber/Gauge: 7.5 Swiss
- Description:
This rifle was built at Bern from the K31 action into a sharpshooter or sniper rifle. This was one of the first scoped Swiss rifles, fitted with a 2.8 power sight permanently attached to the receiver. The head of the scope is folded up for use. The scope shows clear optics with some slight internal grazing near the top edge that does not effect the optics or it's usage. This example is all matching, stocked in select European walnut and shows a bright excellent bore. For reference see page 356 of the Standard Catalogue of Military Firearms showing the scope location. The total number of Model 1931/42 and 31/42 rifles came to 2240 units built between 1943 - 1946. This piece rates overall at 95% plus condition. A scarce item for any Swiss,Military rifle or Sniper collection.
