Swedish Rifle Ag-42 B Variaiton

• Description:

  Ljungman Ag-42B, 6.5 X 55, magazine pinned to 5 rounds, bright excellent bore.  This example is a variation of the 42B that we have not previously encountered.  The top back end of the bolt housing shows 4 machined indentations that were factory or armory cut.  This was apparently done to accomodate an additional rear sight.  We don't know if this was a target or some form of optical sight.  In any event it appears to be a variation from the standard cover on the 42B.  A piece for the Swedish or military rifle collector.
