  SN 1118575 is a Springfield 1903 MK 1 rifle built 10/19.  This is one of the rifles built for the Pedersen semi-auto device.  This rifle shows a number of internal parts for the Mark 1 remaining in place (sear is visiable when the bolt is removed).  This rifle shows clear markings and most of the Rock Island arsenal reparkerized finish.  The left side of the stock shows the RA-P mark.  The top wood and butt both show a #24 rack number.  The bore is bright but shows overall corrosion. It appears to be shootable and rates good plus.  The rifle is dated 1918 and inspector marked with an excellent  WW1 leather sling.  A better than average example of a Springfield 1903 Mark 1 rifle showing sound original wood.
