• Description:

  Japanese Type 45 military rifle built for Siam (1897-1905).  This rifle shows the Siamese lettering on the receiver crest, the rear sight and the base of the bolt handle.  The bore on this less common rifle rates at bright excellent.  The caliber of this rifle is 8 X 52 MM rimed.  This  example shows better that average original blue 95% + on barrel and action.  The wood is sound but as with most oil soaked showing storage and usage marksand mounted with it's original sling. The action on these rifles is considered to be one of the strongest Mauser actions as per various writers. But as  with all surplus rifles a check by gunsmith prior to shooting is suggested.
