• Description:

  This rifle is a customized Siamese Mauser Type 45.  This is one of 40,000 rifles built by the Japanese arsenal Koishikawa (1903-1908) for Siam.  These are regarded as high quality, first class weapons.  This example was sporterized by some unknown but quality gunsmith.  The caliber is presumed to be the original 8 X 50 R Siamese.  The barrel was cut to 26" and professionally crowned and mounted with a commercial ramp and 100 and 200 yard rear sight. With bright excellent bore, clear original markings and an excellent blue job, this rifle has wood that is the original military cut, reshaped, checkered and finshed.  As wtih any customized rifle it should be checked by your gunsmith re shooting and the reloading of cartrdiges -An excellent custom Mauser Type 45.
