  SN A5929 is an excellent example of a converted DWM 1904 Portuguese Vergueiro Mauser. These rifles were shortened and converted to 7.92 X 57 from the original 6.5 caliber. They retained the King Carlo9s marking on the receiver ring. This example remains in excellent condition with the enameled finished metal, all matching metal and wood. This piece retains its' original rod, sling and original matching bayonet. Serial numbered to the rifle. bright as new bore and no evidence of usage on the bolt face. Feed ramp or mag plate. The bayonet is in unissued condition. 99% blue on blade with spots on the pommel from poor storage. Built by Simpson and Co Suhl. An above average example for the mauser or the Portuguese collector.
