Colt-Burgess Lever Action Rifle
- Licensing Category: Non-restricted
- Maker: Colt
- Caliber/Gauge: .44-40
SN2532 is a Colt lever action Burgess, one of only 6403 built by Colt 1883-1885. Production of this rifle ceased only 21 months after it's introduction. This example shows a bright good to very good bore with sound rifling and overall light corrosion in it's 25 1/2" octagon barrel brown with clear barrel markings. This piece shows a working action with evidence of obvious usage. The wood is sound with no cracks normally associated with this model. With only 6403 Burgess rifles built, it is one of the scarcest Colt models to find. This example has been well used but remains as a sound good example for the lever action or Colt collection. Despite its less than perfect condition, this is a good example of a very scarce rifle with a low survival rate. A rifle for the Colt, lever action or western collection.
