SN 720038 is a Savage Model 99 circa 1953 with bright excellent bore. This model appears to be a 99 EG with checkered stock (1946-1960). This example shows a 24" barrel in 303 Savage and is mounted with a post and cross hair scope with correct Weaver mounts. The rifle shows most of it's original blue, with most loss on the underside of frame associated with normal carry. The wood shows added finish but remains strong. A solid old example for the hunter or Savage fan.
