  SN 954772 is a Savage 99 F, caliber 308 built in 1958.This model was offered between 1955-1973.  The barrel shows the high pressure steel markings and the 99F mark. Ref: page 85 "Savage Rifle" by David Royal.  This example shows a bright excellent bore in 22" barrel and 98% original blue.  The receiver shows carrier wear and 70% blue on the sides.  The wood is rated excellent with sharp factory checkering.  Original sights and mounted scope base.  A sound 99 for the sportsman or 99 collector.  Non restricted
