• Description:

  Savage 99 H SN 317640 built in 1929.  This 22" barrel Savage is in 303 caliber and shows a bright shootable bore, light corrosion and sound rifling.  In the 1926 -28 era the barrels changed to medium weight and to the 22" in various calibers including the 303 Savage.  This example shows the uncheckered shotgun type butt with the steel butt plate, V3-3.  The barrel is the one used circa 1928-30.  The Savage is mounted with an old Weaver K4 scope with weaver  rings and clear optics.  This item is obviously not a collector grade but has years of usage remaining.
