  SN 158915 is a WW1 US Model 1917 revolver.  This Smith was built in 45 auto.  Half moon clips were used to hold the cartridges in place.  This example shows a bright excellent bore in its 5 1/2" barrel.  Clear crisp markings and 95% + original military blue finish.  The hammer and trigger show original case colors.  A very good plus example for the military hand gun or S&W collection.
