S&W Model 17-3 RCMP Aux Issued Revolver

• Description:

  SN 5K 80511 is a relatively scarce Smith and Wesson Model 17-3 22 caliber revolver. This Smith & Wesson was purchased for training and is factory marked Aux.  RCMP B.C.  "Arms and Accoutrements of the Mounted Police" at page 72 shows the S&W K22.  Klancher noted that all S&W handguns delivered after Oct of 1967 have factory impressed RCMP stamps.  This is one of a small group as acquired for training for the Auxiliary RCMP in British Columbia.  This example shows 98% original finish, matching numbers including the grips,excellent case color and a bright excellent bore.  This S&W was built in 1974 in the 5K serial range 5K73963-6K58917. A collector quality revolver for the Smith & Wesson and or the RCMP collector.  This piece comes in a correct box but not numbered to the gun.
