• Description:

  SN 5788 is a Model 1895 Russian 1895 Model Nagant.  This example was a WW2 bring back and not a post war imported example.  The left side of the frame shows the Q.C. & CP marking and the 1923 date of manufacture.(Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic). This marking was used from 1921 to 1923.  This example shows its original finish approximately 65% and original grips.  The bore rates at bright very good.  The revolver remains in mechanically sound condition and is one of a total production of 35,000 pieces.  For reference see "Communist Bloc Handguns" by George Layman, pages 14 to 17, Mowbray Publications.
