  • Description:

AN excellent examle of a WW2 smoke discharger built on a Ross 1910 action.  These devices were installed on some scout cars and Bren gun carriers during WW2.  This example is one of the Canadian versions, see pg 445-447 of "The Ross Rifle Story" by John Chadwick et al.  This example shows SN 1530 on the action and the base of the barrel and back of the tube.  The action shows all of the Ross blueing and case colour on the bolt.  The interior base of the charger cut shows a Pover A small broad arrow mark, as does the exterior connecting nut.  The interior of the cup shows no indication  of actual usage.  The exterior shows it's originaal finish with scattered rust staining.  This item can be improved upon with serious cleaning.  This piece has had the action deactivated to comply with Canadian regulations.  This item would be a great addition to a Ross collection or perhaps as an add on to a scout car or Bren gun carrier.  This item is not subject to a license to purchase or own.
