  Circa 1970's reproduction Colt shoulder stock for the 1850 Army or SA Colt. This piece shows a serial # 117814 on brass butt plate and bottom tang.  The brass shows age patina as does the walnut stock.  At first look, the quality of this piece is strong enough to fool many purchasers.  The misaligned serial number, faint U.S. markings, screws and small details show this item as a quality reproduction.  Aside from that fact, this stock makes a great display piece.
