  SN 6690942 is a Remington 700 rifle built at some point in time between 1970 and 1989. The 25-06 Rem cartridge was discontinued in 1991.  This rifle shows a factory heavy 24" barrel with the muzzle threaded for a  silencer. The barrel shows a X x58 marking forward of the serial number.  The threads are protected by a screw off cap.  The bore rates as bright excellent plus.  This rifle shows a jeweled swept back belt, and a factory checkered stock .  The butt is mounted with a white line pachmyar pad.  The configeration of this rifle appears to be a special order, possibly by a Canadian police force?
