  SN 240974 is an excellent example of a 1891 Russian Mosin Nagent rifle in 7.62x59.  This example shows it's 31.6" barrel, 5 shot with pre 1918 octagon receiver.  The bore shows rifling and overall corrosion but appears to be quite shootable.  This example is one of the rifles built by Remington USA under contract for Czarist Russia dated 1917.  This piece is mechanically sound.  At some point this piece became issued for Finland.  The left side of the chamber shows the Finnish military mark SA in a square.  So, obviously this rifle saw service in both Russia and Finland.  Non restricted
