• Description:

  German/Prussian 1809 musket converted to percussion 1838 dated ,41" barrel. This piece shows the flint converted lock with crown over S with G over Suhl.  The brass fittings show a #6 and a 1835 date on the butt plate.  The barrel shows overall brown petina and light pitting/heavy around the breech.  Mechanically sound lock with 6 on the hammer screw.  The wood is very sound with no breaks or evidence of sanding or refinish.  This item came with the shortened rod.  This piece is an above average condition example.  This may have seen service in the Civil War but it is not unit marked.
