A less than common British military bayonet. Ref: see page 102,103 "British & Commonwealth Bayonets" . This scarce bayonet shows a 17" blade,3" socket and an overall length of 21.1 ". The bayonet shows a line rounded shoulder and top sighting groove. The excellent blade shows the crown over B,13 EX. This bayonet was originally built by J.Roe and Son. See p.103 of aforesaid reference. This was one of 4273 bayonets supplied by G & E Roe. The survival rate of this model bayonet is relatively low.
