  SN 805 is an original Parker Hale rifle built in England. This Volunteer rifle is in 45 caliber percussion, 31 1/2 " tapered barrel with a 1000 yard rear sight and a target front sight. The bore rates as bright excellent.The barrel is marked Parker Hale Ltd and shows 98% original blue. The case colored lock shows the crown over P-H and the Parker Hale name. The checkered European walnut stock shows an excellent grain and sound excellent checkering. Behind the barrel tang is a 1 3/4 " wood insert where a previous owner had a tang sight installed. Overall this example shows an excellent finish,showing only minor usage marks. This piece has its original rod which is similar to the Whitworth rod. The 20 year production of Parker Hale Enfields are considered to be some of the best quality repos on the market.
