  • Description:

Pair of antique flint lock pistols probably built in the Victorian era and best described as high grade tourist trade gun. This attractive and matching pair show an overall length of 20" and barrels of 13" of approximately 64 bore.  The barrel show spurious proofs of a BDRGON, London.  Both locks show a garbled name and warrented London.  The marks are crude and not of english background.  Despite the above, these pistols show an attractive appearance, both metal and wood.  It would suggest that this pair was built for an intended sale to a high class of tourist customer.  Both pistols are identical and show well executed carvings, engravings and fitting.  The locks are sound but built with a very heavy mainspring.  This pair would make an attractive display and available at a cost far below what an original pair of English flint pistols would cost.  These are Victorian era flint pistols not subject of licence to purchase or own.
