• Description:

  An original US Model 1832 short artillery sword.  The sword shows a 25" overall length, a 19" double edge blade.  These swords were in US service fron 1832 to 1872 with 16,200 built.  This example shows the US eagle cast into the pommel and a scaled grip.  This example shows inspector marks SK and JWR on the cross guard.  Unfortunately, the corrosion on the blade hides the blade markings except for the date that appears 184?.  An original example but with an overall corroded blade.  This example comes with it's leather and brass scabbard.  The leather is sound but needs seam stitched or glued.  Priced acccordingly.
