This flask (horn) shows a flatten natural cow horn body. All fittings are brass. The spout is graduated 65 to 80 grains. The brass collar and base are attached by 3 screws. This flask remains in as found condition. The brass has not been polished. Both the body and fittings show the remenants of the original lacquer finish. An excellent example of a rifleman's horn from the mid 1800's era.
