- Description:
SN A 3820 is one of the 476 caliber revolver acquired from England. This model was in service from 1882 up to 1905 and beyond. This serial # is recorded on page 183 of the "Arms & Accoutrements of the Mounted Police 1873-1973 " by Phillips and Klancher. With a bright, very good bore and overall grey/blue finish, this antique mountie revolver requires parts and some gunsmithing. The piece requires a loading gate and a spring for the break open latch. The following work is required: The cylinder rod needs a piece welded and extended to function properly. The trigger needs a spring and repair to the upper end to hold the hand in place. The tip of the hammer screw needs to be welded and fitted. (Tip included). The grips are orignal but are devoid of the original markings. A good representative example which has been priced accordingly to cover the afforesaid repairs, etc.
