A very good to excellent Napoleonic French officer's sword. This example shows a 29" blade with remnents of original blue extending out about 10" from the hilt. This area also shows remnents of decorative gold inlay including a moon face on the right side. The sword shows a stirrup hilt and the grips and guard remain in excellent condition. The sword rides in original scabbard of sound leather and stiching as well as original brass fittings. An excellent example of a Napoleonic era officer's sword.
