  SN 00538 is a first year production Mossberg Model 800A in 308 caliber.  This rifle was built in 1967.  The bore rates at bright excellent.  The metal shows 95% blue.  The wood is sound but is mounted with a deteriorating rubber pad.  Sound action mounted with a Leopold M8-4X scope with clear sharp optics.
