• Description:

  This item is a pre war 98 Mauser action sporting rifle.  This piece shows a 24" barrel with a ramp front and 2 leaf rear sight.  The bore rates at bright excellent.  The rifle is in the German 9 X 57 commercial cartridge.  This rifle is stocked in the Sauer-Mauser style of stock with the schnabel tip, flat side panels and round knob checkered pistol grips.  This piece shows excellent original blue on the metal and working double set triggers.  Crown N proofs dated( Nov 1920) matching serial numbers 995 for reference see chapter 8, "Mauser Bolt Rifles" by Ludwig Olson.  A piece for the Mauser or sporting rifle collector.
