  SN 6970F is a Mauser 98A built by Erfurt and dated 1918, showing a 23.62" barrel with bright excellent bore.  This example has clear all matching numbers on metal and wood.  This relatively scarce WW1 rifle retains all it's original features and markings.  The metal shows most of it's original dull blue while the wood shows all it's markings and minor marks asociated with war time usage.  This piece is fitted with it's original sling showing obvious usage.  A seldom found German Mauser as many of these were destroyed at the end of WW1.
