Antique Model 1871 43 caliber Mauser carbine built and marked 1876 remains in sound condition. This carbine shows a bright excellent bore and is all matching serial numbers. This piece, like the majority of the 71 carbines, had the front site guard removed and the wood cut back to a point forward of the barrel band. The rear sling swivel was removed. Otherwise, this example remains in overall sound condition. Antique status
