Mauser K98 K 1944 Dated Barrel

  5 digit SN 42061 on a K98K barrel appears to be from a rifle assembly by Gustloff at the Buchenwald camp.  This example shows all of the late war phosphate finish.  See pages 149-157 of "Kriegsmodel" by Stevens and Karem (Late war K98K Mauser rifles). This piece shows the overall grey finish, late war NO # sights bed 4 marked front receiver ring, late eagle and a bright excellent plus bore.  The receiver ring does not show the E 749 acceptance stamp. See page 153 aforesaid.  A scarce K98K barrel if needed for a Mauser K98K collection.
