• Description:

  F 4513 is a German built 1909 Argentine contract rifle.  This example shows the 29 1/4" barrel.  The 7.65 X 53 caliber bore rates as bright excellent plus.  This rifle shows all matching serial numbers, 95% original blue.  The wood rates very good to excellent showing some minor service/storage marks.  All wood markings are sound and clear.  This rifle was designed to take the Argentine model 1891 bayonet as well as the Model 1909 bayonet.  This was accomplised by the mounting of the auxiliary bayonet lug.  There were approximately 85,000 1909 rifles built in Argentina.  There were fewer examples built by Mauser, as there were none built after 1914 and the start of WW1.
