  SN 157202 is a Mauser 1896 Broomhandle pre war (WW1) commerical.  Caliber 7.63, 5 1/2" barrel with a bright excellent bore.  This example is all matching and showing the correct commerical proofs and the Mauser markings on the frame and slide.  The center left side panel shows a"Germany" mark and a neat WP marking which was the initials of one of the former owners.  This variation was sold commercially in Germany and exported to numerous countries.  The serial range of this example is in the 1911 to 1915 period of time.  The pistol shows all original blue rating at 95%.  The front face of the frame shows evidence of a removed name or presentation.  The extractor, safety, trigger, rear site slide and block show 60 to 70% heat or fire blue.  This pistol comes with it's original matching holster stock.  The stock tang shows the 202 serial.  The screws, spring and fittings show the equivalent blue to the pistol.  The stock remains in excellent condition with no breaks or cracks and retains most of its original finish.  An overall excellent example.
